Classic Garlic Bread

Description

Here's a classic bread treatment that makes perfect garlic bread every time. Just watch carefully to prevent burning!

Ingredients

3/4 cup melted butter
3 large cloves fresh garlic, minced or pressed
1 loaf fresh French bread (sweet)

Instructions

Combine butter and garlic in pan over low heat until butter melts. Do not brown! Cut bread in half lengthwise. Cut diagonal slices 2 inches wide, but not all the way through the crust. Spoon garlic butter evenly on bread. Place bread halves on cookie sheet in preheated broiler about 9 inches from the source of heat. Broil until lightly browned. Watch carefully!
