Mushroom Sauce

Description

Makes approximately 2 cups

Ingredients

1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, quartered
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup light cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

Sauté the mushrooms and onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour. Add cream, salt, and pepper and stir until thickened and bubbly. Remove sauce from heat and stir in sour cream. Serve over any fresh vegetable.
